AGIMET

AGIMET employs the latest proven and in-service solid state meteorological sensor technology to provide accurate measurement of wind-speed and direction, temperature, pressure, humidity and other local environment parameters.

Robust proven technology

Latest proven and in-service technology

Extreme Accuracy

Specifically designed for naval ships

Digital-first framework

Alleviates the need for re-transmission units

A typical ship’s system will comprise two solid state wind sensors – mounted port and starboard together with additional meteorological sensor options.

The AGIMET system employs solid-state ultrasonic wind sensors, proven to be more accurate and reliable over time than its mechanical cup and vane counterpart, thus providing through life cost savings.

In addition the AGIMET system incorporates features specifically designed for naval ships to enhance wind measurement accuracy to aid safe flight operations and effectiveness of the weapons and decoy systems.

Information is transmitted digitally, simplifying data handling and in many cases alleviating the need for dedicated re-transmission units. Wind outputs from the sensors are monitored by the AGIMET interface unit data is continually and automatically selected from the most windward sensor.

When ship’s speed and heading are inputted, true wind data is calculated and provided as an output. The system, when combined with RivenCore’s extensive range of repeaters, provides distribution and display of many meteorological and navigation parameters.

MORIAH

Utilising modern COTS equipment specifically qualified to US Naval military standards, the digital Moriah Wind System (MWS) has been developed to replace the Type F Windbird Sensors, Data Distribution equipment and Displays on all classes of US naval ships, enabling accurate wind information to be displayed in the same format throughout the fleet.

US Navy compliant

Tried and tested COTS technology

Solid state technology

For ultimate reliability

Automatic selection

Auto windward for increased accuracy

Dual output data display

True and relative measurement

MWS is a solid-state system with no moving parts, so providing a highly accurate, reliable and low cost of ownership system, which is ideal for supporting ship based aviation activities. The system comprises of 1 to 5 Solid State Wind Sensors, Dual Redundant Processor Unit, a range of Multi-Function Color Displays (8.4”, 10.4” and 15.0”) and utility Software/Graphic User Interfaces.

In addition full Meteorological capability can be achieved with the inclusion of Air Temperature & Humidity, Air Pressure and Sea Temperature Sensors. The MWS is based on AGI’s AGIMET Naval Wind Measurement and Meteorological System, which is proven and in service with many navies worldwide.

The MWS has been expanded to provide greater capability for data distribution, alleviating the need for dedicated re-transmission units. The design is highly modular and has spare capacity for plug-in RS422 modules, LAN modules and Synchro modules, together with spare memory and processor power, which allows for future system expansion, upgrades and refits. Tested to EMC – Mil-Std 461E, Shock – Mil-Std 901 grade A, Vibration – Mil-Std 167 and 810E, Environmental – Mil-Std 810E

AGILOG

RivenCore is pleased to introduce our second generation AGILOG Electromagnetic (EM) Speed Log System AGILOG 2 following on from the unprecedented success of its predecessor. Developed for use on surface warships and submarines, AGILOG 2 sets the standard for accurate and reliable measurement of ship’s speed through the water, an essential element in navigation and weapons system integration.

Tried and trusted

Active use in over 45 navies globally

Passive measurement

For ultra low magnetic signature

Solid state sensor design

Zero lifetime maintenance

RivenCore international reputation stems from over 40 years of experience in the design and manufacture of ship’s log systems for 45 navies worldwide. Covering all classes of vessels – from nuclear and conventional submarines, aircraft carriers and frigates, to fast patrol boats, mine-hunters and fleet support ships.

AGILOG 2 is based on the well-established electromagnetic principle that a voltage is induced in a conductor by a moving magnetic field. By using the sea water as a conductor, an output is generated as the vessel progresses. Electromagnetic speed measurement is passive in operation and therefore particularly suitable for use in submarines and warships. The EM technology provides reliable and robust speed availability when compared to some alternative technologies.

Typically the AGILOG 2 system comprises of the SDTU, Underwater Sensor(s) (or Probes) and Multi-Function displays.
